September Newsletter, Park Hills!
It sure feels like Fall! While maybe not technically on the calendar, the pumpkin decorations are out in the Clubhouse and we’ve had a request for pumpkin spice something-or-other in the kitchen. So let’s jump into what’s good this month:
If you haven’t noticed how good the course looks, you apparently haven’t played. We have to commend Matt for his continual hard work. Stop by the shop and visit with him if you have a chance. We always love feedback, good or constructive!
We are excited to see the leaves turn on the trees that were planted last Fall. We would like to continue this tradition of adding new trees to the course. Lynn is currently collecting funds for a tree honoring Dale Bolen. If you’re interested in contributing, please reach out to him or Hallie.
We do want to take a minute to pay tribute to Dale. He was a staple in the clubhouse, and part of the “old guard” of characters that made Park Hills such a unique place. We will miss his jokes and orneriness.
Tiffany continues to come up with some incredible specials in the dining room. We hope you’ll dine with us! Want a carry-out order for a Friday football tailgate? Not a problem.
The pool is still sitting at 71 degrees. It will be 90+ the next couple days, so take advantage of it. Even if you want a quiet spot to read a book in the morning, the pool deck is open to our members!
The course will be very busy the next couple weeks. Please look over the events above, and pay attention to our Facebook page for updates. PHS Girls’ Golf tournament is Monday the 15th. PLEASE COME CHEER THEM ON!
Back to the Greenskeeper… he may or may not have something nefarious planned for the 18th. If you played in his Greenskeeper’s Revenge tournament last year, you still won’t know what hit you. It will be a fun weekend for golf, as the Couples Tournament is the 19th. Both tournaments start at 10a.
We always start these newsletters out thinking there’s not much to say. Maybe that’s why they’re always a week or more late. Anyhow, one last item… our September Social. It will be Friday the 26th, 5-7p. We know the city is also hosting entertainment that day, so come out before and patronize us!! We will have yard games and drink/ dinner specials!
